TREW To You is all about opening the doors for anyone to share their perspective & passion for the mountains.
Through this project, 10x teams will be selected to create a 3-5 minute film bringing their proposed concept to life. To make things even more interesting, teams will only have 8x weeks to film and 4x weeks to edit their film during the 2024 season.
In Fall of 2024, we'll take the final edits on the road for a full TREW To You film tour, visiting each team hometown and showcasing their hard work with their local communities.
Viewers, both at tour locations and upon digital release, will then have the chance to vote for their favorite film. The winner of the community vote will ride away with the grand prize of $15,000.

As of 1/7/24, the application period for TREW To You Season 2 has closed.
Teams can consist of between 2-5 individuals, including riders and filmers. It could be 1x rider and 1x filmer, or 2x riders and 3x filmers. If you have a story that you think deserves to be told and snow that deserves to be ridden, we’d love to hear from you.
After receiving all of the submissions during the application process, the TREW team will sort through every application and handpick the 10X teams that we feel will best bring “STAY TREW” to life based on a variety of criteria, including but not limited to:
We are not necessarily looking for teams to tell us how they Stay TREW; instead, we hope that teams will get creative with their proposals + films and show us what Stay TREW means to them.
Absolutely not! This is open to any and all snow sport enthusiasts of any level. If you have an incredible story and a plan for how to tell it, shoot us what you have in mind!
Unfortunately, this contest is only open to those residing in North America at this time. Sorry!
Each team selected will receive…
*Participant must agree to wear only J Skis during filming
We’re not here to mandate how you use the money, but in our mind, startup cash could go towards things like additional camera equipment, paying filmers, gas, lift tickets, etc.
Not necessarily. J Skis is giving any skier on the 10x selected teams a pair of skis only if they would like them, so no pressure.
But please note that if you do take J Skis up on the offer, you will be required to ride on those skis during all filming during the project!
We are permitting teams to leverage support for this initiative from their other sponsors with a few exceptions:
If you have another sponsor or brand you would like to work with - be it a ski/snowboard, beer, goggle, boot, helmet brand - have at it. Just let us know what you’re thinking in your Proposal, and we can give you the green light*.
*Involvement from external brands and the placement of their logos/marks within a given team’s edit pending approval from TREW.
All teams - and individuals within a team - are mandated to wear TREW outerwear in their film.
NOPE. One of the aspects that makes this project so interesting is the element of a finite filming / editing timeframe.
All footage must come from the filming window*.
*If a team would like to use archival footage for storytelling purposes, they must submit a request to the TREW team for approval.
No way! Everyone’s process + snow situation is different. If you get nuked on day one and stack enough clips to create your story, good on ya; on the flip side, if you need all 6 weeks, that works too!
Most definitely! We are looking for a wide range of riders, conditions, geographies, people, and stories. More weight is placed on storytelling versus snow quality.
Nope! Ride your backyard, summit Mt Hood, hit some rails downtown, rip pow turns in the upper bowls, or cruise the local mountain. Your world is our oyster. Show us that you can tell your story in an engaging way and we are all for it, regardless of where or how you do it.
Any audio used in final edits will need to be 100% licensable. Whether it’s an original track or snippets, it must be commercially licensed for use.
The winner of this project will be 100% chosen by the community!
At hometown screening events and upon digital release, viewers will be able to vote digitally on their favorite edit and which of the ten videos they feel best brings the “STAY TREW” mantra to life. After voting closes, TREW will tally the result and the team with the most votes will receive a $10K cash prize.
