The Mountain Ops Collection is our first commercial-grade outerwear built for mountain professionals: ski patrol, heli/cat guides, and mountain operations. Rugged fabrication and feature-rich designs tailored for long, hard days in the mountains where durability and weather production are paramount.

In collaboration with the professional patrollers at Mt Hood Ski Bowl and Mt Shasta, we set-out to make the most waterproof and durable outerwear that we've ever made.

To achieve a new benchmark in waterproofness and durability in skiwear, we developed a new, 4-layer laminate using our rugged and weather-resistant PNW Classic face fabric. We applied an additional polyurethane coating on top of the existing membrane of our 3-Layer construction. The final laminate is 4-layers: face fabric + PU coating + PU flm + tricot backing. 

The result is a highly waterproof and incredible durable fabric. The results from the hydrostatic head test show that this new 4L fabric is almost twice as waterproof as our 3L construction, with results over 35k mm waterproof. Most importantly, the coating on the membrane adds another layer of protection from dirt, oils, and saturation that can render a laminate ineffective over time.
